"QSL cards have been used by Citizen Band(CB)radio Folks for many years to indicate that they have talked together on a certain radio frequency, date and time. There is a distinction between CB Radio QSL cards and Ham Radio QSL Cards! Long distance communication by Ham Radio is legal activity, while such activity by CB Radio is actually in violation of FCC rules. Ham Radio QSL's go back to the turn of the century!
Many CB Amateur operators therefore have their own postcards made,many even make their own hand made ones. The below list is a good example of them and are for sale. Each one is graphically displayed for your enjoyment and decision to select. This group was issued and some were mailed in the middle 1960's and earlier. Many did not have a stamp box on the back and were usually mailed in an envelope so as to protect the card." [These are for sale on the site!]

“In Soviet shops there were no variety of things. In every shop only 2-3 things were sold - for example only 2 or 3 types of the Soviet women handbag was sold in every shop across all the country! No Gucci or Armani or any non-luxury Chineese stuff - only 2 or 3 types of any merchandise, produced on Soviet factories. So almost all the people had the same things, the same cloths, same furniture. There was no variety at all!”

Gherman Titov, who piloted the Vostok 2 around the globe in August of 1961.” “tatraskoda’s” follow up comments: “Titov's flight was on Vostok 2, launched 6th August 1961. He landed the next day. The first man in space, Yuri gagarin had completed just one orbit, but Titov made 16. The flight was supposedly timed to occur just a few days before the construction of the Berlin Wall.
Gherman Titov died September 20, 2000.”

(April 1961)” Follow-up comments from “tatraskoda”: “Venera was the first man-made object to land on another planet. It also beamed back some (slightly odd-looking) panoramic pictures. The left hand stamp is fabulous, even though the rocket looks absolutely nothing like the Venera launch vehicle! The depiction of Venera on the right hand stamp is a bit more accurate, but not 100% by any means. The Soviets never gave anything away!”
